Introducing a metal theme

Back in orange mode I promised metal mode was coming soon. Soon turned into a few months, but I don’t answer to a roadmap here. It’s done. It’s in the toggle. Go turn it on.

I’ve been a metalhead my whole life. Black, speed, Norwegian, death, DOOM, all of it. A few years back I metalified the Sentry logo for hackweek and that itch to drag heavy, ugly, beautiful type into places it doesn’t belong never really left. A portfolio site is exactly one of those places. So here we are.

The theming v1 work did all the heavy lifting. Every theme is its own file, same schema, all wired through CSS variables. Adding a fourth palette is basically copy, paste, tune at this point.

Cycle to it with the same icon in the top right that runs every other theme. No new switch, just the fourth stop on the carousel. Flip it on, turn something loud up to twelve, and let the site be the most metal thing you’ve seen today. It won’t be. But it’ll try.
